Rtn Geetanjali Dhar, representing IT Nature Trust as Trustee and Rotary E-Connect as Past President, attended the launch of Laadli, a pioneering initiative by Pagaria Welfare Foundation, in Muthrayanaswamidoddi village. Laadli is dedicated to empowering women and girls in India by addressing their needs related to menstruation, pregnancy, and marriage.
The project aims to increase awareness, improve access to essential products, and challenge societal taboos surrounding these issues. By distributing sanitary pads and the educational comic book "Menstrupedia," Laadli seeks to empower women to live with dignity and independence. Additionally, the event featured an audiovisual presentation in Kannada, which fostered open discussions among the attendees about various women's health issues.
